Mason Wynne Trombley…

24 Jan

Was born January 23rd 2011 at 6:02 pm he was 7 lbs 2 oz, 19.5 inches long. Mama and baby are both doing great. It was totally crazy, from when Whitney’s water broke to the time that Mason arrived was a whole 3 hours!  We barely had time to prepare for it.  Here is how it all started: Whitney called her sister Stefanie to come over and take her out to Target around 3:00 pm because she wanted to get out of the house and about 15 minutes later Whitney’s water broke and from there it was off to the races…Mason was born 3 hours later!

Below is my favorite picture that we have taken (so far).  Here is a where you can see some other photos.

Torch Lake 2010

08 Sep

Whit and I got back to Torch Lake again this year and it was great.  This is where I asked the Whitmonster to Marry me 2 years ago and it brought back a lot of good memories and created lots of new one.  We were fortunate enough to have Billy and Miranda join us for the weekend at the sandbar!  Here are some of the photos.

P.S. – For those of you who do not know….Whitster is 20 weeks.  Baby Trombley is on the way.

Southernmost point in the U.S.

19 Mar

Had a little Vaca/Wedding in Key West, Florida.  The old crew from Darkside Snowboards got together to terrorize the town. We did happen to make few stop in our travels.  Here is one of them.

Grandma Bea and Grandpa Wendell Hendee

04 Mar

As I am sure that some of you know, my grandmother Bea Hendee passed away a couple weeks ago.  It has been a very trying time for everyone in our family and I was very sad to see her go.  She will be missed a lot.  My aunt sent me this photo of My Mom, Grandma Bea and Grandpa Wendell Hendee. I want to let both my grandparents know they will never be forgotten. RIP.

Here are the comments from her Guestbook:

Aunt Bea: a great lady; loving, caring, giving, thoughtful, generous. Growing up she was more like a big sister than an aunt, always available for good advice and guidance. She loved her family above all. Reunited with Uncle Wendell and at peace and out of pain. I love you, my dear aunt, and I am will miss tremendously

Dave and I will sorely miss Bea. We volunteered together at RRMC and she was such a sweetheart. I have and will not watch Dancing With the Stars without thinking fondly of her.

Bea was a tenant of mine until I moved out to CA. Just recently, I ran into Bea at the post office & she saw that I was pregnant. She was so happy. She just loved my son, Ben when he was a child. He is now 18. We were so happy to see each other again, I made sure she was invited to my baby shower. Unfortunately, Bea ended up not going but she made a great effort to stop by my work with a card & money for the baby. We hugged good-bye & she told me she loved me! I was just thinking of Bea this week & wanted to bring by my baby daughter, Addison Rose for them to meet & I just heard of Bea’s passing. It broke my heart. I’ll miss her very much but I am so glad that I saw her again.

Bea and I started volunteering at RRMC at about the same time. We grew to know each other then as we learned our way around the hospital and continued to work together through the years. I will miss her warm smile and caring ways.My deepest sympathy to her family.

MT Hood

29 Jan

Monday MT Hood got 14 inches of new snow, so Ryan McIntyre(a fellow Portlander from good ol’ Rutvegas) and I decided to hit the slopes Tuesday morning.  It was a great day with Heather Canyon opening for the first time this year and freshies all day long.  I am always amazed at how great MT Hood can be when we get snow.  Here are a few photos from the day.
